How DriveHaus works — in more depth

What DriveHaus is

A marketplace for vehicles in the Philippines: motorbikes and scooters, cars, vans and SUVs, pickups and trucks. Buyers and sellers deal directly. DriveHaus reviews listings, verifies identities, arranges independent inspections and keeps chats, offers and reviews in one place. One account can buy and sell, and you can sign in with your Vibe account.

Buying, step by step

  1. Search and filter by category, brand, price, year, mileage, transmission, fuel, condition and province. Save vehicles with the heart and you are told if a saved vehicle's price drops or it sells.
  2. Read the listing. Look for the Verified seller badge, the Inspected badge with the mechanic's report, the seller's reviews and any price drop.
  3. Reach Level 1 by confirming your email and phone with a code. That unlocks chat and offers.
  4. Chat to ask about the papers, service history and a viewing time. You can send photos, and the seller is notified straight away.
  5. Make an offer. The seller can accept, decline or counter. Offers expire after a set number of days, and you can have one open offer per listing.
  6. View, test drive and check the papers: OR/CR, a notarised deed of sale, and a release of chattel mortgage if the vehicle was financed.
  7. Pay the seller directly — at the bank, by manager's cheque, or cash counted together — only when the vehicle and the papers are in front of you. DriveHaus never holds payments.
  8. Review the seller once they mark the vehicle sold to you.

Selling, step by step

  1. Verify your identity (Level 2): a government ID and a selfie holding it. The team usually approves within one business day.
  2. List the vehicle with up to 12 photos and full specs. A person reviews it — real photos, a real price, honest papers — before it goes live.
  3. Answer enquiries and offers from your seller dashboard.
  4. Optional extras: request an independent inspection, share tracked links, offer affiliates a reward, or ask for featured placement.
  5. Mark it sold. If the buyer came through DriveHaus, a success-fee invoice is created; pay it by GCash, Maya or bank transfer and enter the reference. Sold elsewhere? No fee.

The costs

  • Buyers: free.
  • Sellers: free to list. When a vehicle sells to a DriveHaus buyer, a success fee (a percentage of the sale price, 3% by default and shown on the Sell page) plus a small listing & translation fee is invoiced.
  • Inspections: a fixed fee (₱1,500 by default), invoiced when the report is published.

Safety in short

  • Listings are reviewed, and sellers who publish are ID-verified.
  • Independent mechanics inspect against a 22-point checklist, and the report cannot be edited afterwards.
  • Chats, offers and reviews stay on record, and reviews only come from completed sales.
  • Every listing has a Report button that goes straight to the team.

Getting help

The chat button in the corner of every page opens the support assistant. It answers from these guides and, when you are signed in, from your own listings, offers, invoices, inspections and verification. Under every answer you can talk to a person: your question goes to the team, and with a Vibe-linked account a team member can join the chat live.
