Papers and transfer of ownership
What you should receive
- Original Certificate of Registration (CR) and latest Official Receipt (OR)
- A notarised Deed of Sale signed by the registered owner (three copies)
- A photocopy of the seller's valid ID with signature
- If the vehicle was financed: a release of chattel mortgage from the bank
Transfer
Within 30 days go to the LTO with the documents above, plus emission test and insurance, to transfer the CR into your name. Some sellers will accompany you; agree this in chat before paying.
DriveHaus does not process transfers or hold payments. If a seller offers "DriveHaus escrow", report them.
