Writing a listing that sells

Photos (the most important part)

  • Wash the vehicle. Shoot in daylight, in an open space, not at night in a garage.
  • At least 8: front three-quarter, rear three-quarter, both sides, dashboard with the ignition on (mileage visible), front seats, rear seats, engine bay, tyres, any damage.
  • The first photo is the cover. Make it the best one.
  • No stock photos, no photos with other people's number plates.

Title and specs

Fill in every field. Buyers filter by transmission, fuel and province; an empty field means you do not appear.

Description

Say who owned it, what was serviced and when, what is wrong with it, and why you are selling. Honesty sells faster than superlatives.

Price

Check similar listings. Tick negotiable if you will consider offers. A price that is too low gets flagged as bait and rejected.
